Learning from Home

The Premier announced a lockdown for all of NSW, at this point the lockdown will last 1 week (week 6). We know this is difficult news for many of our families and recognise how many in our community were hopeful that our LGA would not be included in any lockdowns.

Our school must offer Learning from Home as our primary mode of learning. Schools remain open for families who do not have supervision for their children or children of essential workers. This means that if there is an adult at home, working or not, your children are to stay at home with you. Please contact the principal, if necessary, to discuss your family circumstances so that we can work together during this challenging period to support each other.

NSW Health and the Department of Education have set this directive and both Departments will scrutinise our daily attendance figures. Gladys Berejiklian has stressed her concern about viral transmission in the workplace and this is why NSW Health enforces low numbers of staff onsite.

Learning from Home content will be posted in Google Classroom from Monday 16th of August. Parents of students that are not on Google Classrooms please check your email on Monday for a code to your child’s new classroom set up by their teachers. If you need a device or a printed work pack, please contact the school early Monday and we will endeavour to support you getting technology or access to work ASAP.

We will keep releasing relevant information through the Sentral app, email and the School website as it comes to hand. Please contact the office via email if you have any questions or concerns, and our staff will contact you.
