Welcome to Cambewarra Public School

Where Nature meets Nurture

Nestled at the foothills of Cambewarra Mountain, our beautiful natural setting is a fitting introduction to a school where student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We provide a safe, inclusive environment with dedicated wellbeing programs and personalised support to help every student build confidence and resilience.

Our school’s wellbeing program achieved the highest rating available under the NSW School Excellence Framework — reflected in our above-average student attendance. It's why parents consistently tell us they chose us for our calm, caring atmosphere and our reputation for kindness.

Academic Growth for Every Child

We collectively "strive for the highest" — one of our school values and our promise to every family. Our teachers use evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs and closely monitor every student's progress to ensure each learner is both challenged and supported. Our Year 4 students achieved a 38-point improvement in reading and a 32-point improvement in numeracy in a single year, well above expected growth. From targeted intervention to our 'Cambe Thinkers' gifted education program, there is a pathway for every child to thrive. We are also highly competitive in Tournament of the Minds and Eisteddfod across Drama, Speech, Choir and Dance.

A True Village Community

For more than 160 years, Cambewarra Public School has been at the heart of its community. We are small enough that every child is genuinely known, and connected enough that families feel part of something bigger. Our experienced staff, active Cambe Dads program, and well-attended events like Services Day, Grandparents Day and our whole-school musical all reflect the genuine partnerships we build with families. Staff, students and families work as one team, united behind a shared vision for every child's success. Through sport, creative arts, leadership programs and cultural initiatives, students are encouraged to discover their strengths, contribute to their community and develop confidence for the future.
